My interview with Gary Krupp. Paving the way to Jewish justice through the maze of disinformation

It’s been two decades of answering questions from participants on my walking tours through the Jewish Museum of Rome and the Vatican Museums.
Did Pope Pius XII act or fail to act because of indifference, malice, or benevolence?
In my work as a scholar and a licensed and accredited tour guide in Rome, including the Jewish Museum and the Vatican Museum, I am experiencing the spread of two forms of wrong information: misinformation and disinformation by both scholars and colleague tour guides in Rome regarding Pope Pius XII and the Roman Jews. There is no doubt that these two words, so often used interchangeably, but there is one critical distinction between these confusing words: intent.

The Assisi Museum of Memory exhibition addresses important themes in Italian history, including the Italians’ responses to refugees, war, and genocide in the 1930s and ‘40s.
Drawing on an impressive collection of primary sources from the 1930s and ‘40s, the exhibition focuses on the stories of individuals and groups of Italians in Assisi who took action in response to Nazism.

October 16, will be the 80th anniversary of the arrest of the 1023 Roman Jews by the Nazi invaders. The defamation of Pope Pius XII results around the perceived silence of the Pope on that day.
Gary Krupp, President and founder of Pave the Way Foundation will be moderating a special panel discussion.
